Hugo Dupont scored with 0:00 left in the third period, and the Thundercats edged the Units 5-4 at Pierrefonds Sportplexe Rink 1 after rallying from two goals down.

The Units jumped ahead 2-0 in the first, but Mike Martino pulled the Thundercats back into it with a goal and then Nicolas Smith tied it short-handed before the period ended. Martino then took over in the second, scoring twice in a span of 37 seconds to put the Thundercats in front 4-2.

Units answered in the third. Alexander Zimakas cut the deficit to one, and David D'Alleva tied it at 4-4 with 1:33 left after a setup from David Tavares.

That only set the stage for Dupont to strike at the end and finish with a goal and an assist. Martino had the hat trick for the Thundercats, while Michael Ceccato earned the win and Alain Khoury took the loss. The Thundercats improved to 2-1-1, and the Units fell to 1-2.
